Our philosophy is to fuse first-rate expertise with the finest in custom Canadian craftsmanship
We live in an era where 90% of jewellery is mass-produced overseas, often resulting in lower quality craftsmanship. At the Diamond Gallery, the range and depth of our showcased 18 karat gold and platinum works of art will eclipse your perception of what fine jewellery should be. The experience ignites your senses, from the touch of luxury, the weight of quality, the textured finishes, and the visual sensation when selecting or custom designing your personal piece of jewellery. This results in a creation that becomes an extension of your personality and a timeless family heirloom.
The Diamond Gallery experience is built on family relationships
In 1992, Anita and Allan Malbranck fulfilled their vision of creating a gallery of exquisite jewellery, where clients could establish a personal relationship with their jeweller. Their daughter Lisa became an integral part of the business, later becoming a partner in 2007. Creating finely crafted pieces for fashion forward clientele has been a Malbranck family tradition since 1951 (Lisa’s grandfather of Al’s Jewellers), resulting in a legacy of excellence.
We are pleased to help celebrate the milestones of your life!
Named 2017 Independent Retail Ambassador of the Year by Retail Council of Canada
Diamond Gallery Canada’s 2013 Independent Jeweller of the Year Awards
This national honour is the third business award win in 2013 for the family-run business.
The Malbranck family collected their third business award in six months when their Diamond Gallery boutique was named 2013 Independent Jewellery of the Year at the industry’s annual ball Nov. 16, 2013 in Toronto. Independent jewellers across Canada (with five stores or less) were eligible for this Award of Excellence judged by Canadian retailing experts and jewellery manufacturers. This year marked the first time the independent retailer category was included in the annual competition sponsored by Canadian Jeweller Magazine.
“It is just such an honour for us to receive this award when I know the calibre of the jewellery stores in major cities across the country that we were competing against. It is a satisfying feeling to be recognized by the judging panel because we do strive for excellence in everything we do, every day,” said Allan Malbranck, who launched Diamond Gallery with his wife Anita Malbranck in 1992.
Anita and daughter Lisa Malbranck, a co-owner of the store, also took top honours in the Building Business category at the Manitoba Women Entrepreneur of the Year awards in 2013.
Additionally, Lisa was named 2013 Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Chambre de commerce francophone de Saint-Boniface.
Lisa, one of the youngest graduate gemmologists in Canada, is a vocal advocate for shopping local including Small Business Saturday. Her goal is to raise awareness about the impact that Canadians’ cross-border and Black Friday shopping in the U.S., as well as showrooming — the practice of researching merchandise in a traditional retail store, then buying it online — can have on small, local businesses.
Diamond Gallery, the only jeweller in Winnipeg specializing in platinum, focusses on fashion-forward, custom jewellery design. The heirloom quality and integrity of their product, their personalized client service, as well as support of local charities and the arts helped the Malbrancks earn top scores from the judges for the three business awards they won this year.
In 2009, the family opened its new shop at 1735 Corydon in the green, geothermal-heated building they built a half-block from their original location.
